Pricing

Last updated: 17 October 2026

Structera is pay-as-you-go, priced per dataset rather than per year. Most spend-analytics platforms are an annual contract plus an implementation project; this is a one-off charge for the file you actually want classified. There's no subscription, no seat fee, and no upfront commitment. Sample classification, taxonomy generation (anchored to the global UNSPSC, SIC, NAICS, and NACE standards), and review are free on your first workspace of each data type — one free trial per data type (suppliers, materials, services), three in total per account. You only pay when you apply a validated taxonomy to your full dataset, when you export it, OR when you classify a sample on a second workspace of a data type whose trial you have already used.

How it works

Upload your transactions, generate a 3-level UNSPSC-aligned taxonomy, and classify a statistically representative sample for free. Review the sample and correct anything that's wrong. When the taxonomy looks right, unlock the full dataset with a one-off payment.

What you pay

Pricing is tiered by row count, with a GBP 25 minimum fee. The minimum covers small runs where fixed costs (LLM warmup, taxonomy quality, support) dominate. Above the minimum, you pay per 1,000 rows at the rate for the tier each batch of rows falls into.

Row tierRateNotes
First 5,000 rowsGBP 20 per 1,000 rowsMost small datasets fall entirely in this tier.
5,001 - 50,000 rowsGBP 15 per 1,000 rowsMid-market datasets. Volume discount kicks in automatically.
50,001+ rowsGBP 10 per 1,000 rowsEnterprise datasets. Best per-row rate, no negotiation needed.

Worked examples

  • 500 rows: GBP 25 (the minimum fee applies).
  • 3,000 rows: 3 × GBP 20 = GBP 60.
  • 10,000 rows: (5 × GBP 20) + (5 × GBP 15) = GBP 175.
  • 100,000 rows: (5 × GBP 20) + (45 × GBP 15) + (50 × GBP 10) = GBP 1,275.
  • 1,000,000 rows: (5 × GBP 20) + (45 × GBP 15) + (950 × GBP 10) = GBP 10,275.

Monthly updates: half price, no minimum

Spend analysis is rarely a one-off. When next month's transactions arrive, upload them to the same workspace and Structera classifies only the new rows into the taxonomy you have already approved — no new sample, no new review. New rows are charged at half the tiered rate above, with no GBP 25 minimum.

  • 3,000 new rows: GBP 30 (half of GBP 60).
  • 10,000 new rows: GBP 87.50 (half of GBP 175).
  • 500 new rows: GBP 10 (half of one GBP 20 block).

Your export always covers the whole workspace, old rows and new, so the year-to-date picture stays in one file.

How this compares to enterprise spend analytics

Enterprise spend-analytics platforms are sold on annual contracts with an implementation project attached. That is why most of them do not publish a price — their pricing pages tend to say “request a demo”, and the number arrives after a scoping call. It is a reasonable model when you are buying a platform with dedicated support, SSO and an SLA. It is a poor one when you just need this year's spend file categorised.

Structera is priced the other way round. There is:

  • No annual contract and no minimum term.
  • No implementation fee and no onboarding project.
  • No seat fees — invite whoever you like.
  • No sales call before you can see the product work on your own data.
  • No commitment before you see output — the sample is free, and you pay only if you choose to apply the taxonomy to the full dataset.

In practice that means a 10,000-row spend file costs GBP 175, once — the price of the dataset, not a licence to keep paying for. A 100,000-row file is GBP 1,275. If you never come back, you never pay again.

We are not going to quote someone else's prices at you, because they are not published and we cannot substantiate them. Ask any vendor you are considering for their annual cost, their implementation fee, and what a re-run costs next year — then compare those three numbers to the table above.

What's included

  • Automatic 3-level taxonomy generation aligned with UNSPSC.
  • Procurement-consultant insight pack with every paid export: executive summary, Level 1 category analysis with strategic recommendations, top-20 suppliers with action notes, supplier rationalisation candidates with estimated savings ranges, tail-spend analysis, and a prioritised quick-wins playbook. No separate consulting fee. The spend-based sheets need an amount column in your upload, and the supplier sheets need a supplier column; the download template marks both. Without them those sheets are left out rather than filled with zeros.
  • Sample classification with statistical sample sizing (95% confidence, 10% margin of error). One free trial per data type per account — three in total (suppliers, materials, services). Additional workspaces of a previously-tried data type require payment regardless of dataset size.
  • Low-confidence review queue with one-click overrides.
  • Excel export with a Summary sheet (every row with its Level 1 / 2 / 3), a Taxonomy sheet, and the insight sheets above.
  • Pay-as-you-go billing via Stripe. No subscription, no seat fees.

What's not included

  • SSO, custom integrations, or dedicated infrastructure. Email us if these matter for your team.
  • A Service Level Agreement. Structera runs on standard cloud infrastructure with best-effort uptime.

Frequently asked pricing questions

Do I pay to try Structera?

No. Sample classification, taxonomy generation, and the entire review workflow are free. You only pay when you apply the validated taxonomy to the full dataset.

Are the prices in GBP only?

Yes, billing is in pounds sterling. Stripe will show your local currency conversion at checkout if you're paying with a non-GBP card.

Why is this so much less than the platforms I've been quoted?

Because you are buying a narrower thing. Enterprise platforms bundle dashboards, contract management, supplier portals, dedicated support and an implementation team, and they charge annually whether or not you run an analysis that year. Structera does one job — classify your spend into a usable taxonomy and hand you the file — and charges once, per dataset. If you need the rest of the platform, the cost difference is real but so is the difference in scope.

What does it cost to add next month's data?

Half the normal rate for the new rows only, with no minimum fee. Upload them to the same workspace and the existing taxonomy is reused automatically.

Do you offer a volume discount?

Yes — the discount is built into the tiers. Larger datasets automatically pay a lower per-row rate. No negotiation required.

What if I need to re-run classification after correcting categories?

If you already have a paid unlock active for a dataset, re-running classification on the same dataset doesn't re-charge. Editing your taxonomy clears stale classifications but the paid unlock stays valid.

How do I know it's worth paying for before I pay?

You classify a statistically representative sample of your own data for free, review it row by row, and correct anything that's wrong. Payment only comes after that, when you choose to apply the taxonomy you have already seen working to the full dataset. There is no blind purchase to regret.

Can I get a refund?

If something went wrong on our side — a system error, or you were charged for a run that didn't complete — email [email protected] and we'll put it right. See section 5.4 of our Terms for the full position on refunds and cancellation, including your statutory rights if you are buying as a consumer.
